Prophetic Intercession Prayer

" So I sought for a man among them who would make a wall, and stand in the gap before Me on behalf of the land, that I should not destroy it; but I found no one. Ezekiel 22:30"

Intercession is prayer for others, Intercession involves a standing in the gap, an intervention, a stepping in on behalf of others through prayer. Prophetic Intercession goes deeper in prayer, it is not only standing in the gap but have a Covenant with God, listen to God's Heart, talking with God asking God for mercy or for healing on someone else behalf. Prophetic Intercession is have the ability to receive an instantly prayer request from God and pray about it in a divinely anointed utterance. Prophetic intercession often times come with instruction, direction, guidance, confirmation and warning regarding unseen situations and circumstances. Simply believing God at his word and declaring it to come forth, a continuation of the work of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. (Hebrews 7: 25)
  • Jesus Christ, our great high priest, provided the example of how to intercede when He was on earth and Scripture assures us that
  • Jesus continues to intercede even now in Heaven. See Hebrews 7:25.
  • The initiative for intercession comes from God The El Elyon, not from self desire.
  •  Intercession generally begins and ends at God’s instruction, direction, guidance, confirmation and warning regarding unseen situations and circumstances.
  •  Intercession has been described as a love response to the prompting of the Holy Spirit for an urgent need.
  •  It can be a simple cry to the Lord for individuals, for nations, churches and generations.
It is said very plainly in Romans 8:34 -Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Jesus is our intercessor, our mediator because he closed the gap between God and us. When Daniel interceded for his people, he cried out for mercy, forgiveness and that righteousness would come forth through his people. (Daniel 9:3-19)
