STATEMENT OF FAITH

The Holy Spirit: Our Helper and Guide

We believe the Holy Spirit is an integral part of God’s work in creation, salvation, and transformation. The Spirit, promised by Jesus (John 14:16-17), lives in believers, guiding them into all truth and empowering them to live in righteousness.

Conviction and Conversion: The Holy Spirit convicts us of sin, leading to repentance and spiritual rebirth, a transformation known as being "born again."

Empowerment for Living: The Spirit equips believers with power, producing love, joy, peace, and other fruits that flow to meet the needs of others (John 7:37-38).

Jesus Christ: Savior and Lord

We believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and the Savior of humanity. He came to reconcile God and man, living a sinless life, dying for our sins, and rising again in power (Hebrews 12:2; Romans 1:2-4).

Human and Divine Nature: Jesus was fully human, a descendant of David, and fully divine, declared as the Son of God through His resurrection.

Ongoing Ministry: Jesus continues to intercede for believers, reigning in power and preparing for His return. His mission was, and remains, the salvation of souls.

The Word of God: Living and Active

We believe the Bible is God’s inspired Word, given through the Holy Spirit to holy men (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21).

Source of Truth: It is not merely historical or moral wisdom but a living message of grace and truth that speaks to all generations.

Life-Giving Power: God’s Word refreshes minds and renews strength, working alongside the Spirit to bring transformation in those who repent and believe.

Salvation and Healing: Freedom Through Faith

We believe salvation is God’s gift of freedom from sin and its penalties, available to all who accept Jesus as their personal Savior.

Faith in Christ: Salvation is received by faith in the cleansing power of Jesus’ blood. It is a personal decision that transforms lives and secures eternal hope.

Divine Healing: By His stripes, we are healed—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Healing is part of the blessings Jesus purchased at Calvary, accessible through faith in His finished work.

The Christian Life: Walking in the Spirit

We believe the Christian life is one of growth, worship, and community, marked by obedience to God’s commands and the leading of His Spirit.

Baptism and Communion: Water baptism and baptism in the Holy Spirit signify entry into God’s family. The Lord’s Supper is a sacred act of remembering Christ’s sacrifice (Matthew 26:26-28).

Love and Forgiveness: Believers are called to love one another, forgive as Christ forgave, and exhibit the fruits of the Spirit in their daily lives.

Hope in His Return: We eagerly await the second coming of Jesus Christ, who will return as promised to establish His kingdom (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

Empowerment Through the Holy Spirit

We believe in the transformative power of the Holy Spirit, who equips believers to live victorious Christian lives.

  • Baptism in the Holy Spirit: This experience, as exemplified on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2:1-4), brings divine power, enabling believers to speak in tongues and flow in the gifts of the Spirit (1 Corinthians 12:13; Romans 8:9). The Spirit’s work produces rivers of joy, love, peace, and strength, empowering believers to meet the needs of others (John 7:37-38).

  • Water Baptism: A symbolic act that signifies a believer's faith in Jesus Christ and identification with His death, burial, and resurrection.

  • Fruits of the Spirit: Love, forgiveness, and spiritual growth are essential for Christian living, reflecting the work of the Holy Spirit in a believer's life.

Sacred Practices and the Return of Christ

We believe in honoring sacred practices and living with the expectation of Jesus Christ's return.

  • The Lord’s Supper: Instituted by Jesus Christ, the Lord's Supper is a solemn act of remembrance of His sacrifice. The bread symbolizes His body, and the cup represents His blood, shed for the forgiveness of sins (Matthew 26:26-28). Believers are instructed to partake of this sacrament in gratitude and spiritual reflection (1 Corinthians 11:26-31).

  • The Second Coming of Christ: We eagerly await Jesus Christ’s return, as promised in Scripture (Acts 1:11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). This hope motivates believers to live in faith, obedience, and readiness for His glorious appearing.
